University of Richmond is a private, highly selective liberal arts university located in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia. Location & Setting Suburban campus situated in the western suburbs of Richmond, Virginia. Located just 10 miles from downtown Richmond, the campus provides a peaceful, wooded setting with easy access to urban amenities. Campus Life Intimate campus environment with a strong residential culture - approximately 85% of students live on campus. Academics Rigorous liberal arts curriculum with strong programs in business, leadership studies, and sciences. Known for small class sizes (average 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio), extensive undergraduate research opportunities, and personalized academic advising. Offers robust study abroad programs and emphasis on experiential learning.

Athletics & Sports NCAA Division I program competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Strong athletic culture with 18 varsity sports. While not a major athletic powerhouse, the school provides competitive opportunities and strong support for student-athletes. Emphasis on athletic-academic balance and holistic student development.

Lifestyle & Weather Moderate four-season climate with mild winters and warm summers. Campus is walkable, but having a car is beneficial for exploring Richmond.
